The Northwest Community Organization, a group of area residents and neighborhood associations, has called a Community Meeting about the ReVenture Gasification Incinerator Project for Thursday, May 26th, 7:30 pm, at Cook’s Memorial Presbyterian Church, 3413 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road, Charlotte, NC 28216-8654.
The meeting will include a presentation and discussion about the proposed ReVenture Park gasification incinerator and its impact on our health, safety and the environment. ReVenture now plans to burn processed garbage, industrial waste and other materials from a six county area in two unproven 1980’s gasification incinerators. To date, area residents have only heard one side of the issue. Now is your opportunity to learn, ask questions and decide what actions you would like to take to stop this incinerator. Anyone with a vested interest in keeping our community safe and free of hazardous air emissions, trash, and odor should attend.
